Bungee jumping in Seminyak
There is no bungee jump in Seminyak any more. Here is what happened to it, and where to go instead if you are staying on that coast.

03 — Staying in Seminyak
What that means for your day
A jump is no longer something you walk to from the beach strip. Plan it as a trip.
Workable
- A half day inland to Ubud, jump included
- Combining the jump with Tegalalang and the terraces
- A morning departure, back on the coast by mid-afternoon
- Booking a car rather than relying on ride-hailing for the return
Not workable
- Jumping and being back for a lunch reservation
- A jump on your departure day
- Anything advertised as a bungee jump on Double Six beach
- Nusa Penida as a half day — the crossing alone is not
Seminyak is still the easiest base for the rest of a Bali trip. It just is not a bungee destination any more.
04 — The history
What used to be at Double Six
For years the conversation about bungee in Bali meant one tower, on Jl. Arjuna behind Double Six beach. AJ Hackett — the operation that made the sport commercial — ran it, and it ended Bali operations in 2011. The site passed to another company, which has since closed too. That history is why so many guides, listicles and older articles still send people to Seminyak. They are describing something that stopped existing. If you are reading a page that puts a working tower there today, including an earlier version of this one, it is out of date.

05 — If you still want to jump
How we get you there
Four steps, and the first one is us telling you what is actually available.
If nothing suitable is available for your dates, we will say so rather than putting you somewhere that does not fit.
06 — Photographs
Stock photography
Library images of bungee jumping, not pictures of a Seminyak tower — there is not one to photograph.
02 — From Seminyak
Your actual options
Travel times are from the Seminyak and Kuta beach strip in ordinary traffic.
| Dimension | Alas Harum Ubud | Go Bungy Tukad Bangkung | Extreme Park Nusa Penida |
|---|---|---|---|
| Travel from Seminyak | About 1.5 hrs | About 1.5 hrs | Full day, boat from Sanur |
| Setting | Rice terraces | Forested ravine | Ocean cliffs |
| Time needed | Half a day | Half a day | A full day |
| Price | Ask for price | Ask for price | Ask for price |
| Can we book it | Yes | Yes | No — under a shutdown order |
Nusa Penida is listed for completeness. Klungkung authorities ordered Extreme Park shut over unresolved licensing, so we are not booking it.
Is there really no bungee in Seminyak?
Not that we can find, and we looked. The AJ Hackett tower at Double Six ended operations in 2011 and the company that took the site over has also closed. If that changes we will update this page.
But I saw it advertised.
A lot of travel listicles still carry it, and some resellers do too. Ask for the operator name, the street address and the licence. Anything that cannot produce all three is not worth a deposit.
What is closest to Seminyak?
Alas Harum near Ubud, about an hour and a half inland. It is the venue we send most people to from the south coast.
Can I do it as a half day?
Realistically it is a half day at minimum once you count the drive both ways. Do not book it on an arrival or departure day.
Staying in Seminyak and still want to jump?
Send your dates. We will tell you what is genuinely available and what it costs, or tell you it is not worth the trip.
